Maths Teacher – Greenwich

Milk Education are working in partnership with a successful and ambitious secondary school in Greenwich to appoint an enthusiastic Maths Teacher for a September start. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a thriving Mathematics department that is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and achieving excellent outcomes for all students.

The successful Maths Teacher will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' mathematical fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills. The school has a strong academic reputation, with students consistently achieving positive outcomes in English and Mathematics, and places high value on a broad, ambitious curriculum that prepares students for future success.

The Role:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Working as a Maths Teacher to inspire confidence and enthusiasm for mathematics
  • Developing students' problem-solving, reasoning and analytical skills
  • Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations and supporting strong academic outcomes
  • Assessing, tracking and monitoring student progress effectively
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed

The Ideal Candidate:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage learners of all abilities
  • Commitment to raising attainment and achievement
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply

Essential Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Two professional references covering the last two years
  • Recent experience teaching Mathematics within UK secondary schools
