TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of well-established private day nurseries across Manchester. These nurturing settings are committed to providing high-quality childcare and Early Years education, creating safe, stimulating and engaging environments where children are encouraged to learn through play, develop confidence and reach key developmental milestones.

The private day nurseries are looking to appoint enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistants on a temporary basis, with opportunities for long-term placements for the right candidate. As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will predominantly be working within private day nurseries, supporting children aged 6 months to 5 years alongside experienced nursery practitioners and room leaders. You will help deliver exciting play-based activities, encourage positive behaviour, support children's learning and development, and act as a caring role model who creates a safe and engaging environment for every child. Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable but not essential.

The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will have:

  • A minimum of 3 months' experience working within a nursery, childcare or Early Years setting
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable but not essential
  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework and the importance of learning through play
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Confidence supporting positive behaviour and maintaining a fun, safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable but not essential
