A highly regarded specialist SEN school in Barnet is seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September. The school supports pupils aged 14-18 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex learning needs. Classes are intentionally small, allowing staff to build strong relationships and deliver highly personalised learning. Pupils are working below Pre-Key Stage 1 expectations and follow individual learning pathways centred around communication, independence, life skills and preparing for adulthood. Many pupils communicate using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and the school follows structured, evidence-informed approaches including the SCERTS framework to support communication, emotional regulation and social development. You will be responsible for a class of approximately eight pupils, supported by a team of four experienced Teaching Assistants. Working collaboratively with therapists, support staff and senior leaders, you will create engaging, meaningful learning experiences tailored to each pupil's EHCP outcomes whilst fostering independence, confidence and wellbeing.
