KPI Recruiting are proud to be supporting a well-established business, who due to ongoing growth are looking to recruit a Transport Coordinator to support their overnight transport function.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role, ideal for an experienced transport or logistics professional who is confident working independently and managing night operations in the absence of on-site supervision.

You will be…

• Managing and overseeing the transport operation throughout the night
• Conducting nightly driver briefings, ensuring drivers are despatched with the appropriate vehicle and workload
• Allocating vehicles, ensuring optimum fleet utilisation
• Monitoring job progress, making live planning adjustments to maintain service levels
• Ensuring all planned work is fully covered and running to schedule
• Utilising vehicle tracking systems to monitor driver punctuality and job completion
• Maintaining clear communication with drivers
• Notifying customers of any delays or delivery issues
• Preparing handover report for day shift staff

The successful candidate will have…

• Experience in a transport / logistics capacity
• Ability to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both written and spoken
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
