Business Continuity Manager – 6 months

A market leading business is looking for a well-versed Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Specialist.

The Business Continuity Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the resilience and uninterrupted operation of the company’s critical functions. Reporting to the IT  department, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans and procedures.

Key Responsibilities for the Business Continuity Manager:

Plan Development and Implementation:

  • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans tailored to the company’s specific needs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify critical business processes, dependencies, and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Implement strategies to mitigate risks and minimize the impact of disruptions to operations.

Testing and Evaluation:

  • Coordinate and conduct regular testing and exercises of business continuity and disaster recovery plans to validate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze test results and incidents to enhance preparedness and response strategies.

Incident Response and Recovery:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact during business continuity events or disasters, leading the response efforts and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners as needed.
  • Facilitate timely recovery of critical systems and operations to minimize downtime and financial impact.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Playbook writing

This Business Continuity Manager would be required to travel to Worthing on a weekly basis (Hybrid).
