The Place The Plockton Inn, is the newest edition to the Highland Coast Hotels collection and is placed in the heart of the Plockton community. Often referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Highlands’, Plockton Inn is our homely hotel near Skye. Located in Lochalsh, in the quaint bay side village of Plockton, our hotel is a home away from home for those looking to explore the stunning northwest Scottish Highlands and nearby Hebridean islands. The picturesque village offers breathtaking landscapes and scenery, thriving marine sea life, secluded bays, castles, beaches and more. The hotel offers accommodation of 21 bedrooms across the main hotel and annexe, some of which have spectacular sea views looking towards Duncraig Castle, and our Seafood Restaurant serves our delicious Scottish menu made with freshly caught seafood and other local produce to our many guests and visitors. This busy wee Inn is the hub of the community and the must eat destination in the area. The Inn can host over 100 covers on a busy summer’s day, serving lots of local West Coast seafood and fish dishes which the area is famous for. There is a traditional bar with local ale and whisky galore, plus an outdoor terrace.
The Position The Management Couple are the key face of the business and very hands on to welcome tourists and locals alike. With responsibility for ensuring the smooth ongoing function of all aspects of the business and through the team, delivering on the company’s agreed financial targets and other objectives. Commercially accountable for budgeting and financial management as well as revenue generation. Through our core values you will implement and maintain service standards within your team ensuring an authentic Highland hospitality experience for our guests. The Person(s) Beyond the first-class physical modelling of our hotels, we’re also investing in our people. This can only happen with a strong management team that shares our Vision. Our managers are leaders, team mentors and business drivers. Confident and experienced senior manager(s) with experience in a similar role within hospitality, with enthusiasm for high standards, and strong commercial acumen to lead this exciting and vibrant business. The right person(s) will be used to operating in remote locations, be a good planner and people person, acting as ‘Mein Host’ and the face of the business locally, they must also be able to deliver on the commercial requirements of the business and wider company. They must also be able to think on their feet to create solutions as quickly as problems arise. The Package Joint salary of £70-80K dependant on experience + company benefits
