TeacherActive is delighted to partner with a Welsh-medium primary school in Swansea seeking to appoint a Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant. The school delivers education through the medium of Welsh, creating an environment where pupils build confidence, communication skills, and a lifelong love of learning.

We are looking to recruit a committed Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful candidate will support the class teacher with general classroom activities, provide learning support to pupils across the primary age range, and contribute to maintaining an engaging and positive classroom environment.

The successful Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant will:

• Be fluent in Welsh and able to communicate confidently in both Welsh and English

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)

• Have experience working with children in a primary school or educational setting

• Demonstrate a good understanding of the Welsh Curriculum

• Possess strong communication and classroom management skills

• Adopt a positive, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children’s learning
