KPI Education is working with an inclusive secondary school in Birmingham seeking a Graduate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join its team. This opportunity is particularly suited to graduates considering future careers in teaching, Special Educational Needs, educational psychology or wider education-based professions, offering valuable first-hand experience of supporting young people with additional needs. Be part of every student's progressAs a Graduate LSA, you'll work alongside teachers and the wider school support team to help students access learning and make progress in an environment where their individual needs are recognised. You'll provide tailored support, helping pupils develop their skills, strengthen their relationships and become increasingly confident and independent learners. Your responsibilities will include:
Students may have a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD and dyslexia. What qualities are we looking for?Academic ability is important, but so are empathy, patience and the ability to connect with young people. Ideally, you'll have:
Experience working with children or young people is desirable, but not essential. Perhaps you've gained experience through tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, coaching or another people-focused role.
