TeacherActive is currently working with a well-established and highly regarded nursery in Saffron Walden that is looking to recruit a passionate Nursery Practitioner to join their team. The role will be full-time, Monday to Friday, with working hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm. The specific nursery room and age group will be discussed at interview, based on your experience, qualifications and where your skills would be best suited.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing high-quality care, support and learning opportunities for children
• Supporting children's development in line with the EYFS
• Creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment
• Supporting children's physical, emotional and educational development
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Taking part in activities and experiences that encourage children's learning through play
• Following safeguarding and nursery policies and procedures
• Working effectively as part of a wider nursery team
• Contributing to observations, assessments and children's learning journeys
• Maintaining high standards of care, hygiene and professionalism

What we are looking for:

• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or a relevant subject
• Previous experience working within a nursery, pre-school or early years setting
• A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and children's welfare
• A caring, enthusiastic and professional approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build strong relationships with children and colleagues
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
• A willingness to learn, develop and take advantage of training opportunities
