Masstemps is currently recruiting for an experienced Assembler to join a well-established and busy manufacturing company based near the Wolverhampton area.

THE ROLE

· Assemble l steel framing components and steel frame sections to production drawings and specifications.

· Measure, mark out and accurately position steel components ready for assembly.

· Use hand and power tools including drills, impact drivers and other assembly equipment.

· Drill, fix and assemble steel sections to the required dimensions and specifications.

· Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly drawings and measurements.

· Accurately use tape measures and other basic measuring equipment to check dimensions.

· Check assembled frames and components for accuracy, quality and correct positioning.

· Handle and move steel components safely around the production area.

· Carry out general labouring and housekeeping duties as required.

· Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.

· Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.

ABOUT YOU

· Previous experience assembling steel framing or light gauge steel structures would be advantageous but is not essential.

· Experience using drills, impact drivers, hand tools and other power tools.

· Able to read and follow technical drawings and measurements.

· Confident and accurate when using a tape measure.

· Good practical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow instructions.

· Good attention to detail and able to work accurately to set measurements.

· Comfortable working with steel or other metal components.

· Physically capable of handling and assembling steel frame components.

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm

Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm

OR

Rotating shifts

06:00am - 14:00pm (Mon-Fri)

14:00pm - 22:00pm (Mon-Fri)

PAY RATE

£13.21 per hour, rising to £14.00 per hour after 12 weeks
