TeacherActive is proud to be working with SEMH settings in Birmingham, that supports children who require additional help with their social, emotional and mental health needs. The settings provide a supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to engage positively with their education and develop their confidence.

TeacherActive are looking to take on SEND TA's on a full-time, long-term basis from September. The successful SEND TA will work as a classroom assistant, supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours while assisting teaching staff with learning, behaviour management and engagement throughout the school day.

The successful SEND TA will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND / SEMH needs
• Experience supporting children who display challenging behaviours
• Confidence working within a classroom environment
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to get stuck in
