Are you a passionate and adaptable KS2 Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity in a welcoming and supportive primary school?
TeacherActive is currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic PPA Cover Teacher to join a well-established 3-form entry primary school in Birmingham. This full-time role will begin in September 2026 and is expected to continue until July 2027, with the potential for extension depending on the school’s future needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident teacher who enjoys variety and working across Key Stage 2, covering PPA across Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. You will work with a range of classes and staff, delivering engaging and purposeful lessons while helping to provide continuity of learning across the school.

📚 About the Role
As the PPA Cover Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS2, from Year 3 to Year 6
Cover teachers' PPA time across a range of classes and subjects
Follow existing planning and curriculum expectations while adapting lessons where appropriate
Create positive and inclusive learning environments across different classrooms
Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning
Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff across the school
Work collaboratively with class teachers and the wider teaching team
Monitor pupil understanding and provide appropriate feedback
Ensure continuity and consistency in learning when covering different classes
✅ What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from teachers who:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Are confident teaching across Years 3–6
Have strong classroom management and communication skills
Are adaptable and comfortable working across different classes
Can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff
Are passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
Are organised, proactive and confident working independently
Can commit to the full duration of the role
