Milk Education are recruiting 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of welcoming and inclusive Primary Schools. This rewarding role involves providing dedicated support to a child with additional learning, social, emotional or behavioural needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

About the Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide dedicated support to an individual pupil throughout the school day.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil's individual needs.
  • Support the development of academic, social and emotional skills.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENDCOs and other support staff.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the wider school team.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

About You

We're looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children in a school, childcare or support setting.
  • Are confident supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD or other additional needs.
  • Are patient, resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
  • Can work effectively as part of a wider school team.
  • Hold, or are willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
