People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative - Hillington, Glasgow to join our well-established client based in Hillington, Glasgow.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £30,000 per annum, permanent work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as an FLT Operator, FLT Driver, or Forklift Truck Operative.

Rates of Pay:

• £30,000 per annum

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 - 17:00 and 11:00 - 21:00 rotating weekly

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative, you will work:

• Loading and offloading all vehicles
• Completing deliveries and collections throughout Central Scotland
• Adhering to all safe working practices
• Processing paperwork
• Booking in freight
• Segregating cargo
• Loading and unloading in line with company code of practice and using appropriate equipment
• Maintaining load security whilst loading, transporting, and delivering
• Complying with relevant vehicle safety legislation
• Undertaking training on X-ray equipment and carrying out all associated screening procedures on site
• Supporting warehouse operations as required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative, you will need:

• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence
• Knowledge of air freight operations
• Geographical knowledge of major UK roads
• Sound knowledge of the Highway Code and speed limits applicable to vehicle type and road type
• Good working knowledge of manual loading, unloading, and securing freight
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

The following are considered unacceptable:

• Drink or drug-related endorsements within the last 10 years
• Any driving disqualifications within the last five years
• Any licence endorsements beginning with IN, CD, DD, DR, or BA

• Full training provided
• CAA Aviation Security protocols and legislation training
• Administration and company working practices training
• Ongoing development support
