Veterinary Surgeon – Basildon
Salary: Up to £64,000 (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time (30 hours per week)

The Opportunity

For over a century, this leading veterinary charity has provided vital veterinary care for the pets of people experiencing financial hardship. As services continue to grow, there is an exciting opportunity for passionate Veterinary Surgeons to make a genuine difference whilst developing their own careers.

We're looking for a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join the friendly team in Basildon.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment where no two days are the same. You'll see a varied medical and surgical caseload, allowing you to continually develop your clinical skills whilst providing essential care to pets and owners who need support most.

Working alongside an experienced and collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to discuss cases, share knowledge and contribute to the ongoing development of clinical services. The role offers the chance to work within a culture that values evidence-based decision making, pragmatic treatment planning and delivering the best possible outcomes for every patient.

The hospital is modern and well-equipped, including endoscopy and extensive orthopaedic equipment.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with at least 1 year UK experience
• Enjoys working with a varied medical and surgical caseload
• Are confident making evidence-based clinical decisions
• Communicates clearly and compassionately with clients and colleagues
• Thrives within a collaborative team environment
• Is passionate about improving animal welfare and supporting owners through challenging circumstances
