From Sports Coach to SEN Teaching Assistant (Contract)

£90 - £115/day

Are you a sports coach who would like to work in Primary schools and SEND schools in Leeds with children with Autism and challenging behaviours?

Your responsibilities would be:

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
  • Provide support to students with special needs.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.


Skills required:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviours.
