Milk Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across East London This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring students continue learning in the absence of their class teacher. You will supervise lessons using pre-planned work, manage classroom behaviour, and help create a positive and productive learning environment.

The Role

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects.
• Supervise and engage students aged 11–16 in the teacher's absence.
• Maintain a calm, safe, and positive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.
• Record attendance and provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
• Build positive relationships with students and school staff.

We Are Looking For

• Experience working with young people in schools, colleges, sports coaching, youth work, tutoring, or similar settings.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence leading groups of students independently.
• A flexible, proactive, and professional approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people's education.
• A degree is desirable but not essential.
