Operating 24/7, the hospital provides both emergency services and routine small-animal primary care, working closely with referral and ECC departments while maintaining distinct teams and workflows.

The Team

The successful candidate will join a collaborative group of 13 veterinary surgeons who value open communication, teamwork, and regular case discussions. The role is primarily hospital-based, with rotations through consulting-only branches. Opportunities abound beyond clinical work—whether mentoring new graduates, contributing to the Green Team’s sustainability projects, or helping organise the hospital’s lively social events.

The Role

• Hours: 40 per week, 4-day week
• Weekend rota: 1 in 8 (with two lieu days the following week)
• On-call: Minimal, thanks to an onsite ECC team

About the Ideal Candidate

• Confident in all aspects of general practice, including surgery and medicine
• Ideally holds or is working toward a Surgical Certificate
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Positive, proactive, and team-oriented
