The Opportunity

An established and highly respected façade consultancy is looking to appoint a talented Façade Designer to join its growing design team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the UK's most prestigious residential, commercial, mixed-use and high-rise developments, supporting projects from concept design through to construction. You'll be joining a collaborative team of façade engineers, consultants and designers, delivering technically challenging and architecturally significant schemes.

The Role

As a Façade Designer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality technical design information while supporting project delivery across multiple commissions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Producing façade design drawings, details and technical packages.

Developing façade solutions in collaboration with architects, structural engineers and project teams.

Preparing detailed design information using AutoCAD and Revit.

Assisting with façade system selection, detailing and specification.

Coordinating designs to ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, British Standards and project requirements.

Attending design team meetings and liaising with clients and contractors.

Supporting projects through RIBA Stages 2–6.

Assisting with site inspections and resolving technical design queries where required.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

2+ years' experience within façade design or building envelope consultancy.

Experience designing curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing or other façade systems.

Strong AutoCAD skills (Revit experience highly desirable).

Good understanding of façade construction methods and detailing.

Knowledge of current Building Regulations and façade performance requirements.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable

Experience working within a façade consultancy.

Knowledge of CWCT guidance and façade performance standards.

Understanding of thermal, acoustic and fire performance requirements.

Degree qualified in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
