A law firm in Central London are looking for a locum dispute resolution solicitor to assist with a case starting immediately for a period of around 3 weeks. The role is fully remote so office attendance is not required.
 
Core skills/experience:
 
·Strong experience in complex English commercial litigation.
·Experience dealing with Worldwide Freezing Orders (WFOs), including enforcement issues and related considerations.
·Experience with appellate litigation, including applications for permission to appeal to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court; and appeals before the Supreme Court.
·Strong drafting, analytical and case management skills, with the ability to manage substantial aspects of complex litigation independently.
·Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams of junior solicitors, trainees and paralegals, and coordinating workstreams across a litigation team.
 
Not required but advantageous:
 
·An understanding of human rights issues and their interaction with commercial litigation, given the politically motivated nature of the case.
·Experience handling high-profile, sensitive or politically exposed matters.
 
This is for the permission to appeal stage for which work will be carried out in the period starting 24 June with 14 days given for the application so ending 8 July. However, you will need to start work immediately on this placement.
