JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR ENGINEER, RESERVOIR ENGINEERING

Location: KL Office

Contract Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Standard office hours

KEY OBJECTIVES

- Full responsibility for reservoir engineering of assigned field(s).

- Establish technically accurate reservoir system descriptions for clastic depositional facies for all assigned sub-surface assets and projects.

- Conduct detailed technical evaluations of reserves and fluid distributions in individual reservoir systems utilizing petrophysical, geological, and seismic data.

- Define core and PVT analysis programs for dynamic reservoir properties for analytical and numerical simulation models.

- Build fully integrated reservoir simulation models using the latest geological modeling techniques and reservoir simulation numerical/analytical analysis methods.

- Develop well production and deliverability profiles for different field production scenarios using industry-standard well inflow and tubing performance analysis software.

- Construct complex simulation models; conduct reservoir simulation history matching for reserves monitoring and optimizing recovery efficiency under primary and secondary recovery mechanisms.

- Establish and maintain technical database of all reservoir properties and performance data in conjunction with development plans, history matching, and simulation runs.

- Provide management support information for the compilation of regular progress reports, project status, reserves and development option reviews.

- Train and mentor junior engineers for technical skill development.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Create production forecasts for inputs to economic models.

- Develop production performance history matching for integrated reservoir inflow and tubing performance relationships.

- Provide input into reserves evaluation processes in collaboration with other teams and regulatory bodies.

- Solve technical problems relating to reservoir and petroleum engineering tasks.

- Provide technical oversight and input into reservoir engineering sections of project milestone reviews.

- Define production optimization programs and develop schedules and activity plans.

- Collaborate with other technical and commercial disciplines to ensure the integration of pertinent data into asset evaluations.

- Work to develop best practices in core reservoir engineering skills.

KEY AUTHORITIES

- As assigned by the General Manager, Petroleum Development.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

- Work closely within the subsurface team (geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, and managers).

- Coordinate with project team members in Production Operations, Field Development, Drilling, Planning, and Commercial departments.

- Maintain good relations with partners and regulatory authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Degree or Master's in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.

- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including significant experience with exploration and production operations focused on reserves evaluation, simulation modeling, and development engineering.

- Demonstrated experience in applying reservoir engineering principles to optimize reserves, recovery factors, and production strategies.

- Experience in waterflood management and developing reservoir management plans.

- Knowledge of workover and infill drilling activities from initiation through execution.

- Experience in leading projects and teams, with an interest in future leadership roles.

- Proven skills in mentoring junior engineers.

- Computing skills in relevant reservoir engineering software and Microsoft Office.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Demonstrated team building, leadership, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.

- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
