Machine Operative

Location: Bedford

Job Type: Full Time, 12 Month FTC

Hours: 4 on/4 off Rotating 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am

Salary: £28,130 per annum +£3,288.96 shift premium

We are recruiting a Machine Operator on behalf of our client for a 12-month fixed-term contract within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating plant machinery and equipment efficiently to produce high-quality products while adhering to all food safety, quality, and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, set up, and monitor plant machinery to meet production targets
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, food safety, and quality
• Diagnose and report machinery and process faults
• Complete pre-start HACCP checks and scheduled maintenance
• Maintain clean, safe, and hygienic work areas
• Ensure products meet specification and throughput targets

Skills & Experience:

• Reliable, target-driven, and detail-focused
• Experience in a manufacturing or process environment advantageous
• Willing to learn and develop
• Good problem-solving skills and initiative
• Physically fit and comfortable working across multiple floors and at height
