Hours: 6am - 5pm

Salary: £40,000 PA

Nu Staff are working in partnership with a leading solid fuel producer in the UK. They are now seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their busy team. The purpose of the role is to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained facility.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all maintenance activities, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising maintenance work, including the repair and upkeep of machinery, equipment, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

      Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance Schedules

Inspect facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs and safety issues.

Manage and maintain maintenance records, including equipment logs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of spare parts.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, providing hands-on support when necessary.

Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair work.

Monitor maintenance budget and control costs

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime.

 

Qualifications:

 

      Experience using hand tools

A Hands on Approach

Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Proficient in using maintenance management software and other relevant computer applications.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights if service required.
