A leading electronics communications business involved in designing handheld radio-focused critical technology for government, defence, intelligence, and space industries are seeking a capable Electronics Team Lead to join their team in Fareham, Hampshire, near Portsmouth. As a Electronics Team Lead you will lead the electronics team designing and testing wireless communication products from concept through to manufacturing stages.

Electronics Team Lead job responsibilities: 

• Work with the Design Manager to set and monitor tasks and targets to develop high quality products within agreed time-scales.
• Design and develop electronic circuits including schematic capture, manufacturing support, and test and evaluation of designs
• Providing technical guidance and support to team members
• Line management of team members, including assisting with recruitment of new employees, conducting appraisals, identifying training needs and supporting personal targets
• This role can be as technically hands on / off as the successful candidate prefers

Electronics Team Lead job requirements: 

• Experience and understanding of product development processes, from requirements capture, through design and prototype manufacture, verification activities, and transfer into production
• Experience of digital or analogue design
• Ideally some experience of working with RF systems and test equipment
• Understanding of wireless communication technologies and techniques and a working knowledge of radio systems and SDRs (not essential)
• Applicants MUST be eligible for security clearance due to the nature of their work
