CNC Press Brake Operator / Setter – Tamworth, Kingsbury Link

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a CNC Press Brake Operator / Setter to join our well-established client based in Tamworth, Kingsbury Link.

£14.00–£15.00 Per Hour | Monday to Friday | Early Finish Friday | Paid Breaks | Weekly Pay | Permanent Opportunities

This is a varied, workshop-based role where no two days are the same, and candidates may be required to work across different areas of the production environment.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a CNC Press Brake Operator, Press Brake Setter, CNC Machine Operator, CNC Setter or Sheet Metal Fabrication Operative.

Shifts

 • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
 • Friday: 07:00 – 12:00
 • Early finish every Friday

Rates of Pay

 • £14.00 – £15.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a CNC Press Brake Operator / Setter, your duties will include:

 • Setting up and operating CNC press brake machinery to ensure optimum efficiency
 • Identifying and resolving faults during machine set-up in line with production requirements
 • Reading and working from engineering drawings
 • Following work instructions to ensure product quality and conformity
 • Carrying out regular quality inspections and correcting issues promptly
 • Ensuring sufficient raw materials are available to maintain productivity
 • Reporting defective machine parts promptly
 • Supporting other areas of the production workshop when required
 • Keeping the work area clean and tidy at all times

Essential Skills

To be successful as a CNC Press Brake Operator / Setter, you will need:

 • Previous machine operating and setting experience
 • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
 • Confidence using hand tools
 • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
 • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
 • Willingness to work across different areas of the production environment

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience operating or setting CNC press brake machinery
 • Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
 • Previous sheet metal fabrication experience
