Premises Officer – The Role:

We are seeking a reliable, proactive and hands-on Premises Officer to join a busy secondary school in Barnet, North London. This is an excellent opportunity for a Premises Officer who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and well-maintained school environment.

The successful Premises Officer will support the day-to-day running of the school site, undertaking general maintenance, carrying out routine site inspections, identifying health and safety issues and ensuring the premises remain secure. Responsibilities will include setting up rooms for school activities, assisting with deliveries, monitoring contractors and reporting maintenance requirements. The Premises Officer will also support opening and locking the site as required.

Previous experience in premises management, facilities maintenance or a similar hands-on role would be advantageous. Candidates must be practical, organised, dependable and able to work independently. A flexible approach and an understanding of health and safety responsibilities are essential.
