TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Welsh-speaking primary school in Monmouthshire who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school provides a Welsh-medium learning environment where pupils are supported to develop their confidence, independence and engagement with learning.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis for the full academic year, starting ASAP. The successful Teaching Assistant will work on a one-to-one basis with a pupil, providing consistent individual support and working closely with teaching staff throughout the school day.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Fluent spoken Welsh
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
• Confidence working with a pupil on a one-to-one basis
• The ability to commit to the full academic year
• A patient and supportive approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
