Project & Procurement Assistant - The Role

This is much more than a traditional administration position.

You will work closely with the Procurement Manager and wider project team, gaining hands-on exposure to procurement, commercial management and project delivery while being supported by experienced senior construction professionals with Tier 1 contracting backgrounds.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting procurement across four live construction projects

• Sending enquiries and obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors

• Comparing quotations and assisting with procurement decisions

• Raising and tracking purchase orders

• Chasing materials, orders, deliveries and lead times

• Liaising directly with merchants, suppliers and subcontractors

• Maintaining procurement trackers and project records

• Keeping drawings and project information organised and up to date

• Supporting project administration and document control

• Assisting site and project teams with day-to-day requirements

• Visiting live projects when required

• Gaining exposure to the wider commercial and project management functions of the business

For someone joining at a more experienced level, the position can be developed around your existing procurement experience and the areas where you can add value to the business.
