EYFS Teacher – Long & Short Term

About Us

Milk Education is more than a supply partner — we’re a community for educators. Join us and gain access to training, personal development opportunities, and ongoing support.

We’re currently recruiting for EYFS Teachers to join supportive primary schools and early years settings on a long or short-term basis. Whether you're looking for flexibility, stability or the opportunity to find your ideal school, we have opportunities to suit your experience, availability and career goals.

This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate early years educators who want to inspire young learners, support their development and make a real difference during the most important early stages of their education.

You’ll be joining welcoming and inclusive schools that place child development, wellbeing and high-quality early years education at the heart of their practice. Whether you’re an experienced EYFS teacher, an ECT developing your confidence, or returning to teaching, we’ll take the time to understand what you’re looking for and match you with a setting where you can thrive.

Our long and short-term opportunities can also provide a pathway into temp-to-perm or permanent positions, allowing you to build relationships with schools and find the right long-term fit.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative and age-appropriate learning experiences across the EYFS

  • Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel confident to learn, explore and develop

  • Adapting confidently to different settings, routines and school expectations when working short-term

  • Contributing positively to the wider school community when working on longer-term assignments

  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and child wellbeing

Requirements or Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), or currently completing an ECT programme

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and the seven areas of learning

  • A genuine passion for supporting young children and their development

  • A nurturing, patient and creative approach to teaching

  • Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills

  • The ability to build positive relationships quickly with children and colleagues

  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working across different settings

  • A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing

  • The ability to work independently while also being part of a supportive school team

Benefits:

  • Long and short-term opportunities to suit your availability and career goals

  • Flexibility to experience different schools and early years settings

  • Opportunities to build meaningful, long-term relationships with pupils and school communities

  • Competitive rates of pay
