3.5 Tonne Driver – South Elmsall, West Yorkshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver based in South Elmsall, Pontefract. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine potential for progression.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Van Driver, Multi Drop Driver or Courier.

Shifts: Working any 5 days out 7 - 05:00-08:00 start times 

Rates of Pay:

  • Days basic rate = £13.35
  • Days OT (after 40 hours) = £20.03

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Carry out multi-drop deliveries (10–20 drops per day)
  • Load and unload boxes and packages
  • Completing store deliveries and collections 
  • Ensure all loads are safe and secure
  • Complete vehicle inspections and report faults
  • Operate a 3.5 tonne van safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
  • Communicate effectively with staff at delivery locations

Essential Skills

  • Previous multi-drop experience (preferred)
  • Valid UK Category B Driving Licence held for at least two years (no more than 6 Points)
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues
  • Good understanding of road networks and navigational tools
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and use own initiative

Desirable Experience

  • Experience driving commercial vehicles
  • Previous multi drop experience is preferred but not essential

Training Provided

  • Candidates must pass a driving assessment for this role and will then receive industry related training and on going support throughout
