Experienced Print Finisher - Swindon

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Experienced Print Finisher to join our well-established client based in Swindon.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering a competitive starting rate of pay, ongoing work, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position following successful completion of the probationary period.

This role would suit applicants who have previous experience working as a Print Finisher, Print Production Operative, Print Production Assistant or within a print production environment.

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour during the 3-month probationary period.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
• Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00

Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods and holiday cover, particularly throughout December, is required.

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an Experienced Print Finisher are:

• Carrying out a range of print finishing and production duties
• Operating print finishing machinery and equipment
• Cutting, folding, creasing and trimming printed materials
• Checking finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Preparing printed materials for packing and dispatch
• Following production schedules and meeting required deadlines
• Carrying out visual quality checks throughout the production process
• Ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate production records where required
• Reporting any quality issues or machinery faults to the relevant supervisor
• Keeping the work area clean, tidy and organised
• Following company health and safety procedures at all times
• Supporting other areas of the production operation when required
• Working overtime during busy periods and holiday cover when required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an Experienced Print Finisher, you will need:

• Previous experience in print finishing or a print production environment
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
• The ability to follow production instructions accurately
• Good communication skills
• Reliability and excellent timekeeping
• The ability to work to production deadlines
• A flexible approach to working hours
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety
• Ability to carry out repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience as a Print Finisher
• Experience operating print finishing machinery
• Experience within a commercial printing or print production environment
• Experience working to production targets and deadlines
• Previous experience working rotating or double-day shifts
• Previous night shift experience
• Forklift licence

Training:

• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
• Full training on company procedures and equipment where required
