ORDER PICKERS – BELLSHILL

NEXT INDUCTIONS: 29TH SEPTEMBER & 5TH OCTOBER

People Solutions are currently recruiting experienced Order Pickers to join a large, well-established distribution centre based in Bellshill.

We currently have two upcoming induction dates – Tuesday 29th September and Monday 5th October – and are looking for candidates who are available to attend one of these dates and begin work following successful induction and training.

Opportunities are available across both the Grocery and Produce/Fresh departments.

Rates of Pay – First 12 Weeks

• Day Shift: £13.28 per hour
• Late Shift: £14.62 per hour
• Night Shift: £15.70 per hour
• Overtime – Time and a Half: £19.92 per hour
• Double Time: £26.56 per hour, where applicable
• Triple Time: £39.85 per hour, where applicable

Rates of Pay – After 12 Weeks

• Day Shift: £14.13 per hour
• Late Shift: £15.55 per hour
• Night Shift: £16.70 per hour
• Overtime – Time and a Half: £21.20 per hour
• Double Time: £28.26 per hour, where applicable
• Triple Time: £42.39 per hour, where applicable

Shift Pattern

You will work any five days over seven, with weekend working required as part of the rota.

Available shifts are:

• Days: 06:00–14:00
• Lates: 14:00–22:00
• Nights: 22:00–06:00

Candidates must be flexible to work across the week and must be able to attend their first week of training on a 06:00 start.

Upcoming Paid Inductions

• Tuesday 29th September
• Monday 5th October

Candidates must be available to attend one of the above paid induction dates and complete the required site training before commencing their normal shift pattern.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Picking grocery stock using a voice headset picking system
• Operating LLOP equipment within the Grocery department
• Picking Produce/Fresh stock using handheld scanners
• Building pallets accurately and safely for store delivery
• Working towards pick-rate, accuracy and productivity targets
• Manual handling, including lifting, bending and moving stock
• Heavy lifting, particularly within the Produce/Fresh department
• Following written and verbal instructions
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards
• Following all health and safety procedures

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous warehouse picking experience – essential
• Experience working within a fast-paced, target-driven warehouse
• Voice picking and LLOP experience advantageous for Grocery
• Scanner picking experience advantageous for Produce/Fresh
• A high standard of spoken and written English
• The ability to clearly understand voice-picking commands, written instructions and health and safety information
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• A reliable approach with excellent attendance and timekeeping
• A good level of physical fitness
• The ability to carry out repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting
• Flexibility to work any five days over seven, including weekends
• Willingness to complete and pass a drug and alcohol screening
• Comfort working around alcohol and pork products
• Own transport is advantageous due to shift times
• Availability to attend an induction on 29th September or 5th October

Training

• You will receive a full paid site induction and training before commencing work.
• Drug and alcohol screening will be completed on site prior to starting.
• Your initial training period will be completed on a 06:00 start.
