The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, progressive Tier 3 veterinary hospital in St Helens, close to Liverpool and Manchester.

The practice offers an impressive range of facilities, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, digital X-ray, dental radiography, endoscopy, CO2 laser and laparoscopic equipment.

The role is varied, combining consultations, neutering and routine surgery, with around 50% of the time spent working at a branch. Branch-only working with hospital support can also be considered.

The team includes certificate holders in medicine, surgery and diagnostic imaging, with further colleagues currently studying. The practice actively supports individual clinical interests, CPD and career progression, with strong links to its referral service.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will:

• Have experience in small animal practice
• Be confident with consultations and routine surgery
• Enjoy working cases up thoroughly and to a high standard
• Be passionate about patient and client care
• Work well as part of a supportive team
• Be keen to develop their clinical skills
