Construction Lecturers / Tutors – Birmingham

Pay: 30-35p/h

TeacherActive are currently recruiting for experienced Construction Lecturers and Tutors to work within a Further Education college setting in Birmingham.

The main areas I’m currently recruiting for are:

• Brickwork

• Plastering

• Carpentry & Joinery

• Electrical Installation

I’m particularly keen to speak with construction professionals who have strong industry experience alongside a recognised teaching qualification and are confident delivering both practical and theory-based sessions within an FE environment.

The roles will involve delivering engaging lessons and practical workshops, demonstrating industry techniques, supporting learners through their qualifications and helping students develop the skills and knowledge they need to progress into employment.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, CertEd, Award in Education and Training or Diploma in Education and Training

• Have strong industry experience within their relevant construction trade

• Hold relevant trade or vocational qualifications

• Have previous teaching, training or lecturing experience

• Be confident delivering both practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory

• Have strong communication and classroom management skills

• Be passionate about passing their industry knowledge on to the next generation

I’d particularly like to hear from Brickwork Lecturers, Plastering Lecturers, Carpentry & Joinery Lecturers and Electrical Installation Lecturers, as well as experienced FE Tutors and Vocational Instructors within these areas.
