🏡 Residential Support Worker - Children’s Services

📍 Location: Burton-upon-Trent
💷 Salary: £24,500 - £29,000 per annum + sleep-in allowance
⏰ Hours: Full-time, Permanent (including evenings, weekends & sleep-ins)
👤 Reports To: Team Leader / Deputy Manager / Registered Manager

⭐ About the Role

We are recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join the team at Burton-upon-Trent. You will play a vital role in supporting children and young people, helping them achieve positive outcomes while providing a safe, nurturing and stable home

environment.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
• Support daily routines including education, health, leisure activities and emotional wellbeing
• Encourage positive behaviour through consistency, support and role modelling
• Assist with cooking, cleaning, personal care and independent living skills
• Maintain accurate records, reports and keyworker documentation
• Support care planning, risk assessments and review meetings
• Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of children at all times
• Use positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniques when required
• Attend training, team meetings and supervision sessions

🎓 Essential Requirements

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve within 2 years
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Enhanced DBS clearance
• Passion for supporting children and young people
