Transport Administrator – Warrington, Cheshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join our well‑established client based in Warrington, Cheshire.

Temporary to permanent opportunity after a successful 12 week placement 

Shifts:

• 4 on 4 off 
• 06;00 - 18:00 

Rates of Pay: £13.00 per hour

Day‑to‑Day Duties:

Your duties as a Transport Administrator will include:

• Coordinating driver start and finish times and ensuring all shifts are adequately covered
• Briefing and debriefing drivers, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
• Monitoring vehicle movements and updating systems with live information
• Managing route and load allocation in line with operational requirements
• Ensuring compliance with WTD, driver's hours, and tachograph regulations
• Logging trailer numbers, vehicle defects, and reporting issues to the relevant teams
• Communicating effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, planners, and management
• Handling PODs and delivery notes, ensuring all documentation is stored correctly

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Transport Administrator, you will require:

• Experience working as a Transport Administrator in a similar role
• Administration and clerical experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Good communication skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to work flexibly

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience within the transport industry

Training:

• Assessment required prior to the first shift
• Full industry‑related training provided, with ongoing support throughout
