Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Fleet Technician looking for your next opportunity in Brentwood?

We are recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy fleet maintenance and recovery operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Fleet Technician to work on a varied fleet of heavy commercial vehicles in a professional workshop offering stable hours, competitive pay, and genuine long term career prospects.

You'll play a key role in keeping a fleet of commercial vehicles roadworthy through high quality servicing, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician/HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technicia

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Complete inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety checks
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing in line with DVSA standards
• Respond to repair requirements to minimise vehicle downtime
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Work effectively as part of a professional fleet maintenance team

Skills and Experience: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technicia

Essential

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Fleet Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
• Experience maintaining HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Desirable

• IRTEC accreditation
• HGV Class 1 licence
• Experience within a fleet maintenance or vehicle recovery environment
