Milk Education is looking for a Pupil Progress Champion to join a welcoming Primary School in Darlington this September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves seeing progress, building confidence and helping children overcome learning barriers.

You'll provide focused support to individuals and small groups, helping pupils strengthen their skills in reading, writing and maths, while encouraging them to become confident and independent learners.

🎯 What Will You Be Doing?

• 📚 Delivering engaging 1:1 and small-group intervention sessions.
• 🔢 Helping pupils build confidence with maths and problem-solving.
• 📖 Supporting reading, phonics, spelling and comprehension.
• ✏️ Helping children develop their writing skills.
• 🎯 Supporting pupils to work towards individual learning goals.
• 🧠 Identifying areas where pupils may need additional encouragement.
• 💬 Helping children develop positive attitudes towards learning.
• 🌱 Encouraging independence, resilience and confidence.
• ⭐ Celebrating progress — no matter how big or small.
• 🤝 Working closely with teachers to support pupil development.

You could be perfect for this role if you're:

• Positive, patient and encouraging.
• Passionate about helping children achieve.
• Confident communicating with young people.
• Comfortable working 1:1 and with small groups.
• Experienced in education, tutoring, childcare or youth work — desirable but not essential.
• A graduate or aspiring teacher looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
• Someone with volunteering or placement experience working with children.
• Reliable, adaptable and ready to get involved.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
