TeacherActive is recruiting Primary School Teachers for flexible supply roles across Derby and the surrounding DE postcode areas. Opportunities start in September and include day-to-day cover, short-term assignments, and longer-term placements.

Role Overview

The role involves:

• Delivering engaging lessons across the Primary Curriculum
• Following existing lesson plans and adapting activities as needed
• Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Supporting pupils with diverse abilities and learning needs
• Assessing pupils’ understanding and providing constructive feedback to school staff
• Collaborating closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and senior leaders
• Ensuring consistency and a positive learning experience for all pupils

The successful Primary School Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school
• Strong knowledge of the Primary Curriculum
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
