Graduate Classroom Supervisor (Secondary School)

Location: Stockton-on-Tees + Surrounding Areas 

Working hours: 8.30 am – 3.30 pm Full Time 

Start date: 1st September 2026

We are recruiting for a Classroom Supervisor for an 11-18 Secondary School in the Stockton-on-Tees area, to work on an ongoing basis for the 2026-27 academic year.

Schools use Classroom Supervisors to support non-contact time for teachers – you will be given the opportunity to gain classroom management experience without being a qualified teacher, in a school which offers a welcoming and supportive teaching and learning environment.

Your role & responsibilities:

● Deliver pre-set lessons and materials in the absence of the main class teacher

● Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for pupils

● Follow and implement the school’s Safeguarding and Behaviour policies

● Liaise with the school’s Cover Manager to provide feedback on classes

● No planning or marking required

● Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
