PPA Cover Teacher – Killingworth

Location: Killingworth
Salary: £140 – £160 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Temporary with the opportunity to become permanent
Start Date: September 2026

Are you a passionate and adaptable Primary Teacher looking for a role that offers variety and the opportunity to work across different year groups? We’re looking for an enthusiastic PPA Cover Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Killingworth, delivering planned lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 while class teachers complete their PPA time.

About the Role

As a PPA Cover Teacher, you’ll:

  • Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 classes.
  • Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners.
  • Follow school behaviour policies and classroom routines.
  • Provide feedback to class teachers on pupil progress and learning.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff across the school.

About You

We’re looking for teachers who are:

  • Qualified with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Experienced in teaching within primary education.
  • Confident teaching across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Flexible, organised, and able to adapt to different classroom settings.
  • Enthusiastic about delivering high-quality learning experiences.
  • Hold (or are willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
