We're currently recruiting for an Aspiring Primary Teacher to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools, starting in September.

This exciting opportunity is designed for graduates who are considering a career in teaching and want to gain valuable classroom experience before undertaking teacher training. You'll work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, developing the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a successful future in education.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one, small group and whole-class basis.

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

  • Deliver targeted interventions in Reading, Writing and Maths.

  • Support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.

  • Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and positive learning behaviours.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.

  • Support classroom management and positive behaviour strategies.

  • Assist with lesson preparation and classroom resources.

  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Ideal Background

We welcome applications from graduates who have completed one of the following degrees within the last five years:

  • Primary Education

  • BA Education

  • MA Education

  • MA Education (SEND and Inclusion)

  • PGCE

  • Childhood Studies

  • Early Years Childhood Studies

  • Psychology

  • Criminology

  • Other Education, Child Development or Social Science-related degrees

Requirements

  • Degree obtained within the last five years.

  • Professional employment references covering the last two years.

  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in Primary Education.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach.

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
