Supply Primary Teacher – Middlesbrough

Location: Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire
Salary: £140 - £200 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time or Part-time, Temporary with flexible opportunities
Start Date: September 2026

Are you a passionate and adaptable Primary Teacher looking for flexible work in Middlesbrough? Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we are working with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across the area who are looking for enthusiastic Supply Teachers to join their teams from September 2026.

Supply teaching offers the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of school settings while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. With both short-term and long-term assignments available, we'll work with you to find opportunities that suit your skills, experience and availability.

About the Role

As a Supply Primary Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Follow school planning or deliver pre-prepared lessons to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where pupils can thrive.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with each school's behaviour policy.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and school staff.
  • Provide feedback to class teachers on pupil progress and learning where required.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, teaching and professionalism at all times.

About You

We're looking for teachers who are:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) holders in the UK.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality primary education.
  • Confident teaching across the primary age range, or within their preferred key stage.
  • Flexible, reliable and able to adapt quickly to different school environments.
  • Strong classroom managers with excellent communication skills.
  • Committed to supporting every child to achieve their full potential.
  • Hold (or are willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
