Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant- Platt Bridge

Milk Education is working with a primary school in Platt Bridge (WN2) who are seeking a full-time temporary Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant to support within the Year 3/4 class, working with a group of SEND children.

This Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant role is starting in September 2026 and will be a temporary, long-term role, and the hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

The school is looking for someone patient, nurturing, and accommodating to all children's learning needs for this Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant position. 

This Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant role will involve keeping the children on task and ensuring that the work they are doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensuring the children's needs are being met.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
  • Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
  • Deliver catch-up sessions

Requirements or Skills:

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people
  • Must have a passion for education
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
  • Must be reliable and punctual
