A highly regarded specialist SEN school in the Croydon area is seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis this September. The school supports children and young people aged 4-19 with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), speech, language and communication needs, sensory processing differences and associated learning disabilities. Many pupils have complex communication profiles and require highly personalised learning programmes centred around their EHCP outcomes. Teaching takes place within small classes supported by experienced Teaching Assistants, allowing staff to build meaningful relationships with every pupil and deliver engaging, individualised learning. Pupils follow personalised pathways that place equal importance on communication, emotional regulation, independence, functional life skills and academic achievement, ensuring every learner is prepared for adulthood and life beyond school. Working alongside Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapational Therapists, Educational Psychologists and experienced pastoral teams, you will play a key role in creating a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment where pupils feel safe, confident and motivated to succeed.
