The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and wider support teams to help pupils reach their full academic, social, and emotional potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting classroom learning across a range of curriculum areas
  • Delivering literacy, numeracy, and learning interventions to small groups of pupils
  • Providing personalised 1:1 support for children and young people requiring additional guidance
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and other barriers to learning
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and engagement
  • Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and learning resources
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment

About You

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Hold a 2:1 degree or above (or be predicted to achieve this)
  • Have studied Education, Psychology, English, Maths, or a related subject (desirable)
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and professional approach
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Show a genuine passion for supporting children and young people’s development
  • Be eager to gain hands-on experience within a school environment
  • Be considering a future career within education or related sectors
  • Have the right to work in the UK
