A high-achieving secondary school in Birmingham is looking for a Graduate History Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an ideal role for a recent History (or related humanities) graduate considering a future in teaching.

What's the role?

As a Graduate History Teaching Assistant, you will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them engage with historical topics and develop critical thinking skills. Working closely with experienced teachers, you'll play an important role in making history accessible, relevant, and engaging.

You will:

• Assist in the delivery of history lessons across a range of topics and time periods
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
• Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
• Support classroom management and student engagement
• Encourage curiosity and a passion for history

What are we looking for?

• A degree in History or a related subject (2:1or above)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and positive attitude
• An interest in education or pursuing a teaching career
• Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
