A high-performing and well-regarded secondary school in Sutton is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Science from September 2026.

The school has a strong academic track record, with positive Progress 8 outcomes and consistently good GCSE Science results. Alongside academic success, there is a clear focus on character, inclusion and preparing students for further study and future careers. Teaching takes place within a calm, orderly environment where expectations are clear and learning is prioritised.

The Role

The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 within their specialism. Applications are welcomed from teachers of Biology, Chemistry or Physics. A Level teaching experience is desirable but not essential.

The school is looking for a teacher who will:

  • Deliver engaging, rigorous and well-structured lessons

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in their Science specialism

  • Have high expectations for achievement and behaviour

  • Build positive, consistent relationships with students

  • Be reflective and committed to continuous professional development

  • Have the right to work in the UK
