Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Primary School

Location: Kennington, Lambeth – South London
Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–16:00pm
Salary: £550–£700 per week, term time only

Perhaps you a graduate that has school-based experience or have done TESL abroad and feel you could use those skills to teach in a UK school?

Maybe you are a HLTA looking for a permanent position in an excellent primary school?

Who we’re looking for

• Qualified teaching assistant or HLTA
• Unqualified graduates with a university degree (2:1 or higher)
• Newly qualified teachers with QTS looking for experience before starting ECT
• Experience working within a primary school
• Some experience leading classes is preferred but not essential
• Eagerness to utilise all training and personal development opportunities
• Some experience working with young people; Supply teacher, unqualified teaching assistant, ESOL, midday supervisor or tutor is desirable but not essential

The Role

• Work in a Year 3 class covering lessons when teachers are absent
• Deliver PPA cover each week in Year 3
• Work in a small, close-nit primary school with ‘Good’ graded Ofsted rating
• Support students of all abilities, from high achievers to those needing extra help

• Centrally located school with excellent public transport links

We are looking for a passionate person to work as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant at this school with an immediate start.
