Overview

My client has an exciting and important role in achieving net zero and in leading a fair energy transition for the UK.  They do this by developing the green gas system of tomorrow, while delivering the natural gas needs of today.

The Operations team maintain, repair and upgrade 7,666km of high-pressure pipe, 23 compressor stations, 504 above-ground installations, and 8 connected distribution networks through a highly skilled team of over 600 technicians and engineers across Great Britain. Working around the clock to maintain and enhance the infrastructure that powers homes, business and industries, guaranteeing a steady and secure energy supply.

What we are looking for

To be successful in this role you will have an understanding of end-to-end large-scale projects (eight-figure value) in an Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation discipline based on NEC 3 and 4.  We don't have a pre-conceived idea of industry background, providing that you meet the NEC large scale, and discipline requirements.

We have a large programme of work spanning many years and we want to set everyone up for success, so, whatever discipline you've worked is what you will align to (in the immediately instance).  If you aspire to operate outside of your discipline experience, this is a great opportunity for just that.

Whilst experience in any of the 3 disciplines is required, it would be particularly advantages of those that have Electrical and Instrumentation experience.  Whilst we are open on career history, it would again be advantageous for those that came through a technician route in any of the disciplines.
